This update package includes the following production level system software updates and update utilities:
- System BIOS update
- BMC Firmware update
- RoT update
Note:
1.This is a production FW package, bugs and unexpected behaviors could be observed. If you have any issues, please contact your MiTAC representative.
2.Do not modify any of the script files. The scripts, as written, will provide the most reliable update experience.
3.Before running the FUP startup script, please make sure "NO" BIOS_pass.tmp / BIOS_CAP_pass.tmp / BMC_pass.tmp / ROT_pass.tmp / Driver_pass.tmp / FWUP_DONE.flag in the folder.
4.All updates provided in this package must be executed within the corresponding operating environment (UEFI/Linux/Windows), as applicable.
5.The Linux environment only conducted in RHEL9.4/RHEL9.5.
6.The Windows environment only conducted in Windows Server* 2022/2025, Azure.
7.In the OS, the update script must be executed twice. The first run will update the BIOS, and the system will automatically power on after the update is complete. Once the system boots into the OS, run the script manually again to update the BMC, and RoT.
8.This firmware package only supports internal update.
9.For customized BIOS requirements, please contact the MiTAC FAE.
10.For customized BIOS FUP update please run startup_CAP.nsh/startup_CAP.bat/startup_CAP.sh
11.Before starting the FUP update, please ensure that your settings are properly backed up. After the update is completed, a "Restore to Default" on the BMC will be required, and any unsaved data will be lost.
12.After the FUP update process is completed, a manual "Restore to Default" must be performed on the BMC to ensure the update is applied successfully.
13.After the update, the BIOS will load the default values to ensure the system runs correctly.
14.After the update, please reboot the system for some fixes to take effect.
15.After the FUP update is completed in Windows2022, the U.2 sensors may occasionally be missing. Please perform an AC cycle to recover the sensor.
